It can be hard to cut through the white noise of TV's bloated landscape to find the gems and avoid the trash. That's why Bob Thompson, the founding director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture, and a trustee professor of television and popular culture at the Newhouse School of Public communications at Syracuse, joins Boston Public Radio every week to help us find the best and avoid the worst that TV has to offer.
This week, Thompson mourned the lose of internet sensation Grumpy Cat, extolled the greatness of the Sundance Channel's exclusive "State Of The Union," and got excited about the star-studded live recreation of Norman Lear's "All In The Family" and "The Jeffersons" on "Jimmy Kimmel" this week.
