This week on Open Studio, we go into the studio.
Jared Bowen visits woodworker and sculptor Alison Croney Moses in her workshop and studio to discuss what it means for her to work with wood, how motherhood has influenced her art and how she came to love making curved sculptures. Croney Moses' work is now on view at the MassArt Museum of Art's exhibition "Designing Motherhood."
From there we feature local artist Eli Brown and how his public art installation — which imagines a UFO has just crash landed in East Boston — is intended to send out a message of hope amid environmental despair.
Bowen then gives us his rundown of the latest arts and culture events in and around town.
We wrap up the show with artist Zaria Forman. Her striking large-scale drawings of glaciers double as a commentary on climate change.
