It's been just over a year since Beeple shook up the art world by selling his NFT "Everydays: The First 5000 Days" for a record-breaking $67 million . Jared Bowen explores how non-fungible tokens are changing the industry with a visit to Boston Cyberarts , where he speaks with director George Fifield. Then Bowen discusses NFTs' influence on art with Washington Post art critic Sebastian Smee and NFT artist Anne Spalter .
Next, Bowen sits down with Lesia Sochor. The Maine-based, Ukrainian American artist finds inspiration from her ancestors' tradition of intricately decorated eggs. Her culturally rooted show titled " Pysanka: Symbol of Renewal " is on view at the Museum of Russian Icons through July 24.
Open Studio is also celebrating National Poetry Month with readings from Amanda Gorman, Tracy K. Smith and Porsha Olayiwola.
