Local pop violinist Rhett Price first gained internet fame in 2013 after he and his friend covered a Taylor Swift song at South Station . Now, after gaining a loyal following for his many covers, he is releasing an original song, “Party Animal,” through an innovative partnership. He is joining with ice cream mogul Ben & Jerry’s to create a new sundae named after the song, with a portion of proceeds from the ice cream treat sales and all proceeds from the song’s sale through October 31 going to the Pine Street Inn.
Rhett experienced homelessness at the beginning of his career. “I have a place for that in my heart, and that’s why I wanted to partner with Ben & Jerry’s to… give back a little bit but to specifically help the Pine Street Inn,” he said.
