After the longest hiatus from live shows since Livingston Taylor first launched his music career more than five decades ago, he's been spending the summer making up for lost time. He spoke on Greater Boston Tuesday about getting back to performing live.
“I did what everybody else did during this time: I laid out the couch — a lot — and I watched Netflix,” Taylor said of his pandemic months.
Getting back in front of audiences, he said, “it makes me cry to think about it. I just, I missed them so much, and I needed to be with them so badly, and when I saw my beautiful audience again I simply freaked out.”
Among his performances: he'll be back at City Winery in Boston this Thursday and he's playing two shows at the Loft in Oak Bluffs later this month.
