Celebrating Native American Heritage

GBH is committed to inclusion and representation in media. Celebrate the rich and diverse cultures and invaluable contributions of American Indian and Alaska Native people by viewing this special collection of films and programs.

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, GBH's Land Acknowledgment and Commitment to Actions pledge the Foundation's support of Native and Indigenous peoples’ voices, history, and stories with dignity; bring visibility to Native and Indigenous issues and concerns by including Native and Indigenous voices in the work we do; and challenge colonialist narratives that have shaped the way history has been taught.

GBH Kids

Meet Molly Mabray! Molly is a 10-year-old Alaska Native girl who loves her family, her friends, and her dog, Suki! Molly of Denali, created by GBH, is the first nationally distributed kids show in the United States to feature a Native American lead character. Alaska Native voices are involved in all aspects of the production, both on screen and behind the scenes. Every Indigenous character is voiced by an Indigenous actor, including Molly, voiced by Alaska Native Sovereign Bill (Tlingit and Muckleshoot).

Follow Molly on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

GBH Catalyst

Catalyst was formed in 2019 during uncertain and disruptive times with the mission to champion BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) employees at GBH.

Catalyst is dedicated to supporting initiatives that uphold the Foundation’s commitment to DEIA in programming, employee growth & development, and community engagement.

Catalyst strives to create an environment that welcomes, nurtures, and retains BIPOC talent to further enrich GBH through diverse perspectives. As ambassadors on the ground, Catalyst also engages employees of color, sharing feedback, concerns, and suggestions with the Office of Inclusion and Equity (OIE).

Catalyst encourages interested GBH allies to support the group’s initiatives by subscribing to the Catalyst LinkedIn page. If you have any questions, please email catalyst@wgbh.org.
