WGBH's Executive Arts Editor Jared Bowen joined Boston Public Radio on Tuesday to give his latest reviews on art and film, including the three-hour-and-30-minute-long film "The Irishman," directed by Martin Scorsese and streamed on Netflix.
"We see filmmaking changing now because Amazon and Netflix have gotten into the game, which means that filmmakers like Martin Scorsese suddenly have a big budget, they have a lot of studio support behind them unlike before, so they can make the film they want to make," Bowen said. "I will say that I didn't think it was too long. I thought it had such a great rhythm that it really tugged me along."
