Emily Schario is a producer in the WGBH Studio at the Boston Public Library, where she produces radio and digital broadcasts about the Boston community and beyond. Before joining WGBH, Emily was the news editor for her college newspaper and interned at WBUR’s On Point Radio. She has a degree in mediated communication and English literature from Stonehill College.

Hi Everyone,

Hopefully I'm not jinxing us, but it seems as though the summer weather is finally here to stay.

Jim and Margery are here next week for their usual Tuesday/Friday installments of Boston Public Radio from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

And on Saturday, June 8th, Irene Monroe sits down former Congressman Barney Frank, prominent gay-rights activist Arline Isaacson, Representative Jack Lewis, Fenway Health's Carl Sciortino and Governor's Councilor Eileen Duff to explore the history of marriage equality in Massachusetts and what it's like being an openly gay politician in the state.
