Hi All,

March reminds me of the legendary entertainer Fats Waller song, “The joint is jumping!” Our studio at the BPL is certainly rich with programming this month. Here’s just a sample.

On Monday at 4:30 p.m., WGBH News’ Jared Bowen interviews political scientist, author, writer and lecturer Ian Bremmer in a Facebook Live. His expertise is particularly relevant these days as we grapple with the role of the United States in a volatile world. Come to the studio and watch in person or view on WGBHNews.org.

On a lighter note, Brian O’Donovan breaks out of the winter doldrums on Saturday from 3-6 p.m. to provide an afternoon of Celtic music. A Celtic Sojourn airs live on 89.7 but you can catch it in person in the Newsfeed Café. And it really is fun.

Our next installment of “Next Stop,” our series on transportation, is on the Commuter Rail. Join us Wednesday at 3 p.m. for a provocative discussion on service, reliability and fares. Guests include Mayor Kim Driscoll of Salem, Josh Fairchild of Transit Matters and Tracy Corley of MassINC.

Boston Public Radio is here for its regular Tuesday/Friday rotation and Mayor Walsh will be on hand for Ask the Mayor on Friday.

So escape the snow and cold temps by stopping into the Newsfeed Café and WGBH studio this month. Coming up in April? JAZZ.

Best,
Linda
