Next Stop: The T

Emily Schario is a producer in the WGBH Studio at the Boston Public Library, where she produces radio and digital broadcasts about the Boston community and beyond. Before joining WGBH, Emily was the news editor for her college newspaper and interned at WBUR’s On Point Radio. She has a degree in mediated communication and English literature from Stonehill College.

A pair of blizzards in 2015 brought the T to a screeching halt. As the trains thawed out, it became clear that the MBTA's problems were deeper than the snowfall.

WGBH News' Bob Seay sits down with Chairman of the MBTA Fiscal and Management Control Board, Joe Aiello, former Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation, Jim Aloisi and Head of the T Riders Union, Lee Matsueda to discuss the trials and tribulations of the T. We look at what's gotten better, what still doesn't work and what we have to do to fix things.
