Hi All,
If you’re a regular T rider or are just interested in the future of public transportation in metro Boston, stop by our studio this Wednesday and every Wednesday at 3 p.m. for the next month for a series of a live streaming shows hosted by WGBH News transportation reporter Bob Seay. “Next Stop…” will address issues of reliability, cost, equipment and policy. Panelists include former state transportation secretary Jim Aloisi, Joe Aiello, the chairman of the MBTA Fiscal and Management Control Board, and Lee Matsueda of the T Riders Union. You can also watch on Facebook Live and Twitter. I’ll be sending along the links soon. Please engage with questions online or in person.
I think Boston Public Radio broke a record today for audience attendance. A remarkable number of people started showing up as early as 9 a.m. when newly elected Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley stopped by for an interview with Jim and Margery. The crowd just kept growing as the morning progressed.
Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Attorney General Maura Healey appears on BPR for Ask the AG.
And Tuesday night, NOVA
CafeSci hosts a session Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. on the history of medical and scientific racism in America. All sessions are free and open to the public.
Finally, last but not least, Brian O’Donovan hosts A Celtic Sojourn on Saturday from 3-6 p.m. I suspect there will be a whiff of St. Patrick’s Day cheer and lots of Irish soda bread and Guinness on hand.
Whew. There’s a lot to like about the WGBH studio at the BPL. Come join us.
Have a great weekend,
Linda
