Noname delivered the goods and put on an incredible show for a sold out crowd at the Royale last night. The Chicago-based artist, known for blurring the lines of poetry and rap, performed several songs from her new album Room 25, a project she paid for herself. Room 25 follows her debut mixtape Telefone, a piece that set out to emulate the feeling of talking on the phone with someone for the first time. But as Noname continued to work on the tape, it also transitioned a bit into mortality: the idea of life and death and the duality between those two things. Heavy. She's got another show sold out at Royale tonight.
