Today marks the one-year anniversary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s oversight of the Russia investigation. This morning, President Donald Trump celebrated on Twitter by calling the probe a “disgusting, illegal and unwarranted Witch Hunt.” He failed to mention his latest financial disclosure form, which he signed himself, showing a more than $100,000 payment to his personal lawyer Michael Cohen for “third-party” expenses, which was not included in any previous filing. Yesterday, the Office of Government Ethics passed the information on to the Department of Justice, along with a letter saying, “you may find the disclosure relevant to any inquiry you may be pursing.” So what do these revelations mean for year two of Mueller’s Russia probe?
